Duties:
Teachers: Lead class and instruct students and delegate task and responsibilities to assistants. Ensure projects get home by the end of camp up to our standard (usually that means fully colored in)
Assistant Duties:
-Help with classroom duties such as helping with prep and clean up, greeting students and parents and helping kids find their seats and understand classroom rules, assisting students with projects as needed, taking kids to the bathroom, enforcing recess rules, taking role call and other classroom associated responsibilities (more listed during training)
-Both teachers and assistants:
-May possibly Travel to and assist with after school classes
-Do art in order to create new visual examples for up coming classes
-Help develop new projects and classes
-Send and receive emails as needed (if given this position)
Teacher Duties:
-Develop your own or execute our curriculum up to our standard
-Delegate tasks to assistants and maintain an orderly work environment
-Conduct class, leading instruction, assigning tasks to assistants, assuring projects are done and ready to go out the door on time
-Clean up after class
-Travel to and conduct after school classes at assigned schools
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education and childhood development principles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency in various art techniques, styles, and mediums
- Ability to manage student behavior and maintain a productive classroom environment
- Creativity and passion for art education
-Good Communication skills in regards to Customer Service
-Experience with Gmail, basic applications and modern websites, and Google docs
Note: Experience working with kids in a school setting is highly preferred. Looking for both a teacher or assistant to work full time and several assistants to work periodically (but still consistently) during school breaks, weekend Adult Classes such as Sip and Paints, the Summer time and other events throughout the year.
