The Financial Controller will play a critical role in executing and managing the day-to-day financial operations of Neoceram America Inc. This person will actively oversee and manage financial, along with certain administrative, tasks while also providing guidance to internal resources. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Finance team of the Group (headquarters located in Belgium) to ensure smooth financial operations and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to optimize financial performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and assist with internal and external audits
- Supervise the accounts payable and payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely processing
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred but not mandatory
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
- In-depth understanding of GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements, and financial concepts
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
- Experience with corporate accounting, including month-end closings and financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
