Principal Associate, Analytical Development

Neogene is looking for an initiative-taking, Principal Associate in Analytical Development that will be responsible for the execution of flow cytometry and cell-based potency assays for characterizing engineered TCR T-cell therapy. This role will also contribute to the establishment, development, and qualification of immuno-assays. This role is based out of Santa Monica, CA and reports directly to the Senior Scientist, Analytical Development. 

Responsibilities

• Characterize T-cell therapy drug substance and drug products by performing cell culture and analytical assays using flow cytometers and other cell-based equipment (e.g. Incucyte, plate readers, etc.).
• Perform routine assays for drug product release and characterization.
• Complete projects, testing and tasks as assigned and report results by deadlines.
• Assist in the everyday operation of analytical laboratories, including equipment management and reagent inventory.
• Support cross-functional projects with research, process development and manufacturing groups.

Requirements

• MS degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience or BS degree in the concentrations with 4 years of relevant experience.
• A good grasp of basic immunology is highly preferred.

• Detail-oriented in both technical assay development and data analysis.
• Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills for scientific studies and projects.
• Enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic start-up company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
• Proficient experience in flow cytometry and mammalian cell culture.
• Experience in executing and troubleshooting multi-color flow cytometry assays utilizing conventional or spectral flow cytometry is required.
• Experience with data analysis tools: BD FACS Diva, FlowJo, and/or Cytek SpectroFlo is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, including both primary immune cells (i.e. T cells) and cell lines (i.e. tumor cells) is required.
• Experience with executing immuno-assays (e.g., ELISA, Cell killing, LDH, Luciferase, etc…) is highly preferred.
• Experience in analytical assay development and qualification is a plus.
