Automation Engineer Job description
Program Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLCs using RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and Studio 5000 software.
Program PLCs utilizing the following programming languages: Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, Continuous Function Control, and Structured Text.
Design, install, configure, and program a S88 Batch system utilizing FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor, FactoryTalk Batch Recipe Editor, and Studio 5000.
Design and build Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) operator interfaces on at least one major platform such as Ignition, FactoryTalk View ME, FactoryTalk View SE, Wonderware (Aveva) InTouch or System Platform, or GE iFIX.
Troubleshoot, test and fix manufacturing production systems during factory acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) commission and validation phases.
Develop and troubleshoot SQL queries for SQL databases.
This position requires a Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering or related field, plus two (2) years of related work in any suitable occupation related to controls engineering. Experience must include: (i) Use of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLCs using RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, or Studio 5000 software. (ii) Work with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Factory Talk View SE, Proficy iFix, or Aveva System Platform.
