Patient Transportation Scheduler
Job Posting for Patient Transportation Scheduler at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center
Schedule appointments for the Care Car. Coordinate and communicate transportation schedules with Care Car drivers. Assist patients into and out of buildings and into and out of the car as needed. Responsible for safe transportation of patients and visitors when assisting with driving duties. Take call rotation for the Care Car.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned. May be expected to work varying hours including holidays, weekends and on call rotation.
The Patient Transportation Scheduler will cross-train as a Registration Clerk and Patient Liaison.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:
- Current Valid Driver’s License, no restriction limiting driving. Must have been at –fault accident-free for the previous 3-year period.
- BLS/Heartsaver- Obtains RQI BLS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 3 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience preferred, but not required.
- At least one year office experience preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Computer and computer keyboard experience preferred.
