Project Management Skills: • Ability to manage BCDR projects from inception to completion, including planning, implementation, and testing phases. • Skill in coordinating with various teams and departments to ensure alignment and cooperation. 6. Continuous Learning and Adaptability: • Willingness to stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in the BCDR field. • Flexibility to adapt strategies and plans in response to changing business environments or evolving threats. 7. References and Reputation: • Positive references and a track record of successful BCDR implementations from previous clients or employers. • A reputation for professionalism, reliability, and integrity within the industry. • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions under pressure. 8. Education and Training: • A degree in a relevant field such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management. • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE), or similar.

This position is for a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planner. The role entails developing a disaster recovery for multiple systems of which some are integrated with other systems and a business continuity plan that covers all aspects of standard business continuity plans. The individual will work with executives, management, and subject matter experts across Panasonic. Qualifications are:
Experience:

  • At minimum 5 yrs experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans across multiple industries
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or industry-specific requirements.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity exercises.

2. Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and cloud services.
  • Understanding of data backup and recovery technologies.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.

3. Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Skill in creating clear and comprehensive documentation for BCDR plans and procedures.
  • Capability to deliver training and awareness programs to ensure staff readiness.

4. Analytical Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills to assess potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
  • Capacity to evaluate and prioritize critical business functions and resources.
  • Capability to develop strategies for minimizing disruption and maintaining continuity during a disaster.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
