Job Posting for Medical Assistant/Receptionist at Nephrology Practice
Full time Medical Assistant/Receptionist needed for busy small practice with three providers and multiple locations. Currently we need a full time MA/Receptionist. Some travel required. Duties may include but are not limited to rooming patients, taking vitals, data entry, HIPAA compliance, maintaining a professional and friendly attitude, as well as the following:
Interview patients and document basic medical history
Organize and schedule appointments
Update and file medical records
Check with patients and type up patients charts
Confirm and update patient medications in their chart
Prepare and clean treatment rooms
managing patient flow
contacting patients and relaying provider messages
completion of both front and back office duties
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or recent certification/willing to train
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of HIPAA
Knowledge of medical office practices/procedures
Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills
Computer literate with experience or the ability to learn EMR system
Able to multi-task and balance every aspect of the day to day functions in a clinic setting
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with clients, staff and others professionally and courteously
Ability to work in a high stress position
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients
Able to complete various types of duties and adapt to multiple changes in schedule and workload.
