Our product offering includes facilities, event management, and broadcast production with an underlying software framework that ties it all together. We’re helping to build the infrastructure of esports. And we’re looking for talented, high-energy team members who can collaborate in a professional-minded, high-paced environment.

Your Impact

The Technical Administrator role will work closely with the IT Manager and the Head of Venues at Nerd Street to provide Information Technology support for all Nerd Street entities including various Localhost facilities. This is a 90% onsite and 10% remote working role. The primary onsite location will be our flagship location in Center City Philadelphia.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide end user support such as troubleshooting & account management on a daily basis
  • Equipment upgrades and maintenance on all Nerd Street/Localhost equipment
  • Provide tournament support which includes setup, configuration, inventory, etc.
  • Networking support and configuration
  • Administration of firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, and other network equipment
  • Perform equipment and software inventory audits as needed; ship and receive employee equipment
  • SaaS onboarding and offboarding
  • Carefully handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Identify areas of the infrastructure for optimization
  • Create detailed procedure documentation
  • Troubleshooting voice and other IT issues as needed
  • Be available and perform duties on evenings and weekends
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in PC support/network administration and support roles
  • Working knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP
  • Experience with LAN’s, VPN, firewalls, load balancers, Wi-Fi access points
  • Experience with network management tools and troubleshooting
  • A certification or 1 years of relevant work experience

Bonus Points If...

  • Bachelor’s degree level in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
  • Netgate pfSense firewall and/or Unifi hardware and configuration experience
  • Experience in Esports and video games
  • 2 years of A related work experience
  • Network certification or relevant work experience
  • IT Asset Life-Cycle Management
