Summary:
The main function of a forklift operator is to operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location. A typical forklift operator is responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review product load for accuracy and ensure timely and complete delivery.• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment such as cleaning, lubricating or fueling.• Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.• Signal workers to discharge, dump or level materials.
Skills:
- Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, team player and problem solving skills.• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift operators’ license required.
- 5-7 years manufacturing experience required
•PPE : long pants, long sleeve shirts, steel toe boots – site will provide hard hat, glasses, gloves and any tools needed.
•Must have experience: Operate a sitdown forklift, Loading/Unloading trucks, pulling material from racks, putting materials away in racks, scanning goods into locations, familiarity with inventory system, ability to multitask, work inside and outside in elements, work in a team environment, quick learner and able to apply learning quickly.
•Job Description: Candidate must be able to move between various tasks throughout the day. Loading/Unloading Trucks, pick product, labeling, strapping and loading into trucks and containers, pulling ingredients for batches, housekeeping activities, (use of pallet wrapper, saw, nail gun(occasionally)), working inside a warehouse and outside of warehouse wearing long sleeves, pants, safety glasses and hard hat, inventory counting, put away incoming materials.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.70 per hour
