What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Administrator position at NES Fircroft?

1.0 SUMMARY

Support technical and professional training to Field Service personnel in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of steam and gas turbines, valves, generators and auxiliaries while maintaining records of all training provided.

2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide support[GD1] in the conduct of technical and professional instruction consistent with job classification and employee experience;

· Support training on all Safety, Quality and Material control processes;

· Support training on troubleshooting of complicated mechanical/electrical problems;

· Develop the abilities to find and use technical documentation (e.g. Field procedures, Standard Inspection Documents, Mitsubishi Power parts criteria, NDE list, Non-Conformance Reports [NCR's].);

· Support planning Training & Departmental activities (e.g. Technical training sessions, Soft Skill training sessions, New Hire Training, All Hands Events, etc)

· Support training on how to visually inspect covered equipment and report results to service and repair engineering;

· Support the development of training programs as needed to meet organizational requirements;

· Develop the skills necessary to manage the Learning Management System (LMS) database or other training documentation tools to ensure Field Service personnel remain qualified in all areas of expertise;

· Develop the skills necessary to manage the Learning Management System (LMS) database to ensure Field Service personnel are enrolled and tracked in the Standardized Training and Certification Program (STCP) and the STCP database is properly managed;

· Utilize Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Sharepoint and other software tools necessary for providing and tracking training;

· Participate in the assessment process for internal reviews, evaluations;

· Overnight travel (less than 25%) by land and/or air;

  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

4.0 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

· High School Diploma. Ability to Support how to facilitate training in a classroom or field jobsite environment required.

· Advanced ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical manuals, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, correspondence, proposals, and training curricula. Support how to become proficient with MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

5.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee’s working environment may be loud. The employee may be required to adhere to MHPSA and customer safety procedures including but not limited to, the use of personal protection equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, goggles, hearing and fall protection).

[GD1]Recommend the use of “Support” instead of “Support”. Concern would be development plan / timing. Might have to fight the conversation of “what happens after they Support it? How long is it anticipated to take to Support?”

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
