A well-known manufacturing company in Johnstown, NY is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team! 

This is a permanent opportunity with a local manufacturing company, which has been recognized for its family roots and global distribution!

What you need to know:

  • Location: Johnstown, NY (onsite)
  • Pay: $20-24/hr.
  • Hours: M-F 8am-4pm
  • Direct Hire

What you need to apply

  • 2 years Accounts Payable experience within a high volume environment OR an Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Advanced Excel

A Typical Day May Consist Of:

  • The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage outgoing payments to vendor accounts.
  • Opening mail and sorting invoices
  • Coordinating the approval of invoices and processing purchase order invoices – 3-way matching.
  • Posting invoices, including proper General Ledger codification.
  • Generating payments using the SAP accounting system.
  • Processing and clearing weekly outgoing payments.
  • Updating supplier information, monitors new supplier set up, and reconciling suppliers' statements.
