Supply Chain Inventory Specialist
PURPOSE
Responsible for all aspects pertaining to reloads utilized by Supply Chain including incoming shipments, outbound shipments, and weekly inventory reconciliation. Provide support to Buyers and Locations that utilize these reloads. The ideal candidate will learn various corporate Supply Chain functions and use this position as a training ground for career growth in Supply Chain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inputs purchase and transfer orders into various ERP systems.
- Reconcile weekly inventory for reload locations.
- Contact reloads, vendors, and transportation to obtain information concerning product, price, freight, availability, and delivery time.
- Provide notification for inbound shipments to reloads and maintain and update Purchase orders (i.e., add freight, rail car information, update quantities)
- Reviews, evaluates, and monitors purchase orders and transfer orders to ensure pertinent information is accurate and pricing is correct.
- Learns all aspects of corporate, central procurement function as it pertains to Supply Chain, supporting the Corporate Buyers.
- Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
- Perform Month-End duties: exceptions, reporting, updates, credits, etc.
- Responsible for managing Vendor Managed Inventory in the system (Online and/or Trend) and reporting to appropriate groups.
- Prepare reports for Physical Inventory and help input counts into Online/Trend.
- Verify and receive inbound purchase orders from various vendors.
- Verify and invoice orders from reloads.
- Other duties may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year undergraduate degree in forest product management, supply chain or construction science.
