EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITYAN INVITATION TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION OF SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS HULL PUBLIC SCHOOLS, MASSACHUSETTSThe Hull School Committee invites dynamic, future-focused candidates to apply for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The Town of Hull is located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, on a peninsula with 27 miles of coastline and a pristine 3.5-mile beach at the southern edge of Boston Harbor. Its population as of the 2022-23 school year was 10,331. Hull is the smallest town by land area in Plymouth County and the eleventh smallest in the state; however, its population density is nearly four times that of Massachusetts as a whole.

Hull is 20 miles from Boston with convenient MBTA commuter boat and Logan International Airport access. Hull is home to the Point Allerton Coast Guard Station, the resort community of Nantasket Beach, two marinas, two yacht clubs and numerous boat moorings, affording many opportunities for sailing, rowing, kayaking, surfing and paddleboarding. Historic sites include Fort Revere, Hull Lifesaving Museum and the Paragon Carousel and Museum.Hull Public Schools is led by a five-member School Committee. The FY 24 budget is $17.3 million and the FTE for staffing is 158.

For the 2023-2024 school year, Hull Public Schools serves 770 students in three schools: Lillian M. Jacobs School (Grades PreK-6, Enrollment 416)Memorial Middle School (Grades 7-8, Enrollment 107)Hull High School (Grades 9-12, Enrollment 235)To better meet the needs of students, the configuration starting in the 2024-2025 year and beyond would reflect the following: Lillian M. Jacobs School (Grades PreK-7)Hull High School (Grades 8-12)The South Shore Collaborative will be housed at the Memorial Middle SchoolAll three district schools have recently completed major renovations and offer rigorous academic programs with a challenging curriculum. Small class sizes (student teacher ratio of 1:17) offer a personalized learning environment for all students.

An active parent/community support system includes a Boosters Club, Parent Teacher Organization and Friends of Hull Theatre Arts.
