What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Doctor/Addictionologist position at Ness Healthcare?
Northlake Behavioral Health Systems is searching for an Addictionologist or Psychiatrist with addiction and medical experience for our facility.
- Serves as attending Physician conducting evaluations, prescription of psychotropic medications, monitoring and evaluating treatment results.
- Provides leadership to the interdisciplinary treatment team and direction to the development of the clinical treatment program.
- Supervises all attending and consulting medical staff members.
- Provide medical leadership in coordination with the medical, nursing and pharmacy staff.
- Lead interdisciplinary treatment planning, consulting and collaborating with Nurses and Therapists.
- Develop medical/clinical policies.
- Assures quality treatment services and a safe environment for clients and staff by ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, standards, rules Joint Commission requirements and legal regulations.
- Participates in utilization review, consultations and case management.
- Participates in on-call roster to provide 24/7 coverage with one-hour response time.
- Treats clients by utilizing psycho-therapeutic methods and medications.
- Maintains medical records by documenting symptoms, medications and treatment events, and writing summaries.
Education
Required
Doctorate or better.
Experience
Required
2 years: Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. Certified Addictionologist or Psychiatrist with addiction and medical experience required.
