What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager position at Ness Management?
We are looking for a Bilingual Property Manager in our fantastic Mount Vernon location!
The ideal candidate would have:
-Excellent Communication Skills: This person will need to communicate with management daily about the happenings at the property. This includes the ability to email, text and give updates.
-Good Customer Service: This person will need to interact daily with tenants and vendors with ease who need assistance at the property.
-Tax Credit and Property Management Skills: This person will have a background in tax credit and property management for multiple locations and the ability to pivot with priorities.
This person will be our eyes & ears on the ground for the facility so they will need to be able to identify issues and communicate them well to management.
Responsibilities:
- Attract tenants by advertising vacancies via multiple platforms, showing units by appointment and open tours, illustrate the advantages of the location and services, negotiating leases and collecting security deposits
- Inspect vacant units and schedule repairs via AppFolio, by working with the maintenance team and vendors
- Collect, record, and deposit monthly rents
- Maintain accurate and detailed tenant ledger
- Achieve success by investigating and resolving tenant complaints and delinquency, enforcing rules of occupancy and adherence to the lease
- Coordinate and maintain property grounds and common spaces on a regular schedule with the maintenance team and vendors
- Facilitate the Maintenance Work-Flow process.
- Traveling to each assigned property for inspections, showings, move-ins and move-outs, as well as in coordination with maintenance.
- Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the job
- Coordinate and manage a small staff
- Communicating directly with tenants and assisting them with their needs, and ensuring full occupancy
- Building rapport with vendors and ensuring cost-effective and timely job completion
- Create and process Work Orders and Purchase orders via AppFolio, in coordination with the maintenance team and vendors

Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Authorized to work in the USA/State
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be at least 18 years old
Schedule:
- Full time: 40 hours per week
- On-call availability required – including nights and weekends

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
