PLE Operator
The Packaging / Labeling Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation, cleaning, and light maintenance of the equipment that packages filled product for commercial distribution.
The PLE Operator is also responsible for setting up coding equipment and inspecting product to ensure adherence to specifications.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor. In the absence of the PLE Operator, another PLE Operator will serve as backup.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU :
- Schedule : 7pm-7 : 30am with opportunities for overtime
- Starting hourly pay of $17.26 (not including a $3 shift differential) based on knowledge and demonstrated skill

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH :
- Operation of PLE including, but not limited to the accumulator, cap applicator, mead wrapper, cardboard packer, and inkjet coder.
- Data-entry of SKU, lot code, and expiration date information into appropriate coding and labeling equipment according to specification sheet.
- Verification of materials and codes to ensure adherence to specifications and record necessary information on appropriate forms.
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment in accordance with operation manuals and plant SOP’s.
- Autonomous maintenance for PLE and coding equipment.
REQUIREMENTS :
High School graduate or equivalent required.
SKILLS :
- Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures
- Ability to lift, kneel, bend over, squat, stoop and carry 50 lbs.
- Have basic computer, math and mechanical skills.
- Ability to organize and plan ahead to maximize job efficiency.
