POSITION SUMMARY

Support the product and packaging development efforts in the Nestle USA Technical Applications Group (TAG) by working with, owning and improving the information technology systems needed to support the ways of working. With ownership of IT tools/processes that are used for managing recipes & materials (raw & packaging), you’ll have the chance to translate manufacturing processes data and ways of working to enable speed. You will be enabling the transition of recipes from idea/concept to the factory production line through tasks that span across administrative, IT, & document control. It’s a critical support role within the Center of Excellence (CoE) that drives system testing, training, and problem resolution to enable speed, build autonomy throughout TAG, and optimize our processes.

This role, as part of the Data systems team will be directly involved with the Digital Transformation journey that all NUSA has embarked in. It is expected for the Data and Documentation Specialist to be a thought leader who collaborates with cross-functional groups to connect different processes and systems & identify the potential optimization &/or automation solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Maintain the accurate input of data into production recipe and bill of materials for all NUSA businesses.
  • Initiate and route SAP workflow for phantom/wip material codes used in the bill of materials maintenance.
  • Initiate and coordinate the Engineering Change Management process for bill of materials (BOM) postdating maintenance.
  • Understand the BOM data sources and the data usages across T&P, develop a holistic view of how the data impacts the users.
  • Continuing to develop your own competency & ability in the system in order to identify additional process improvement areas to drive speed & agility.

Innovation & Renovation - Valued Business Partner
  • Be an ambassador to TAG ways of working (WOW), building capabilities and helping Project Managers and other functional groups in NUSA to work effectively to deliver innovation and renovation initiatives.
  • Understand the current data architecture within Nestle. Obtain necessary access, follow security protocols, and conduct problem solving to help TAG and manufacturing teams use our recipe data and documents effectively.
  • Own the administration of data and documentation systems, from managing access for users to problem solving and ways of working. These systems could be GLOBE approved solutions, external or internal applications.

Leverage Systems and Fuel Digital transformation:
  • Be a leader in optimizing our ways of working within TAG and with our business partners by identifying and implementing opportunities to increase speed, reduce waste, improve data accuracy and improve collaboration.
  • Leverage digital solutions to automate repetitive activities, improve/ease tracking, improve user/requestor experience and improve efficiency.
  • Leverage IT/Software or programming skills beyond this role by partnering with IT and Digital Transformation teams and externally to propose, test and implement new digital solutions to TAG.

Key member of networks within the Nestle in the Market (NiM) & internal to TAG:
  • Explore best practices and learn the ways of working from across businesses and markets.
  • Identify & execute opportunities for standardization to drive speed & agility.
  • Drive the development & knowledge transfer to SuperUsers across TAG.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma required plus technical/vocational certifications & tangible work experience to fit the role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Position requires approximately 0-10% travel
  • 1-2 years of experience with SAP/GLOBE, SAP-RM, H2M, LORA
  • Low Code/No code development in Office 365 – Power Apps
  • Experience in data management, including data analytics tools, architecture and visualization.
  • Familiarity with product recipe structure.
  • Experience working in crossfunctional teams, preferably in manufacturing environment.
