Line Operator 3 – Full Time, 2nd Shift
Position Summary:
The Line Operator 3 is responsible for the individual machinery that is associated with the label applicators,Video Jets, Cartoners, and Markems.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
- Load and unloads cartons, labels, ribbons, and glue.
- Confirm that materials being used are correct by comparing to the Bill Of Materials (BOM) and notifies a Line Lead or Supervisor if materials are incorrect.
- Assure that all necessary equipment is ready and available for any change over or start-up.
- Verify code dates during production at pre-determined intervals.
- Report any deviancies from product specifications immediately to the Lead or the Supervisor.
- Perform or assists maintenance on minor repairs or adjustments including changeovers.
- Ensure that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standard for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School or GED required.
- Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts.
- Must have at least 1 – 3 months experience operating a packaging machines.
YOU’RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:
- Have the ability to speak, write and understand English.
- Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals.
- Have the ability to write standard information into related paperwork.
- Have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Have the ability to establish trust and credibility with employees.
- Have sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolutions skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant and corporate environments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
