Position Summary:

NHSc US is looking for an experienced and dynamic Finance Leader to oversee all financial aspects of our factory in Sudbury, MA. This is a fully onsite position.

This role wiill be responsible for being the steadfast custodian of stewardship and governance for the facility. Trusted co-pilot to the Factory Manager and Factory Leadership Team with direct dialogue with the Operations Controller for NHSc US. Accountable for all factory financial matters (vision, organization, practices, initiatives/projects) and provide fact based decision making on both short term objectives and on long term strategic initiatives. Provides visibility and forecasts around costs related to the factory processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensures Compliance to financial legal requirements and Accounting Standards (NAS).

Responsibilities:

  • Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement - Identifies,drives, and delivers cost improvement opportunities, isan active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives, validates, reviews and tracks proposed savings.Challenge assumptions for cost improvements in factory based on internal and external benchmark information on factory performance and costs. Actively drives improvement activities within the factory and ensure activities are in alignment with business Operational Master Plan
  • Reporting and Analytics - Manages and interprets factory reporting of actuals and forecasts for the factory and key outside stakeholders; ensure transparency, accuracy and timeliness of this process; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring Nestle financial policies, accounting standards & costing standards are followed by promoting ownership of data at source
  • Strategic Evaluations- Identifiesand leads strategic financial analysis relating to major or strategic decisions related to the factory to ensure full transparency of costs and non-financial implications
  • Business Planning - Drives business planning; manage the overall factory budget with factory management team as well as being the critical liaison between factory and Corporate/Commercial Teams in the business planning process. Perform forecasts, revisions or simulations if needed
  • Capital Investments - Develops, controls, and ensures robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests including post CAPEX evaluations
  • Internal Controls - Ensures clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation and compliance with internal controls in all areas. Accountable for Segregation of Duties (SODs) and assessment of compensating control effectiveness. This includes establishing a solid and periodic monitoring of the internal controls effectiveness and appropriately escalating business risks
  • Performance Management, Development and Talent - Coaches and develops the factory personnel with focus on finance individuals & team including career and succession planning. Ensures factory finance personnel are meeting/exceeding performance expectations
  • Knowledge Transfer - Drives clear understanding of financial key figures, costing and business impact within and outside the factory, including organizing training sessions for non-specialists
  • Compliance - Manages routine audit activities within the factory to ensure compliance on critical areas e.g. NAS, Costing Standards, statutory accounting/tax, OPEX guideline and appropriately escalate business risks. As the Champion of compliance & risk management for the site is the key contact for internal and external audits within the factory

Requirements:

  • Bachelor'sdegreeinaccounting or finance
  • 5 years in cost or general accounting, withpreferred experience at a factory/operational level
  • Advanced experience with MS Office Suite , with emphasis on Excel
  • Nice to have: Experience with SAP

Skills:

  • Knowledge of accounting principlesin fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, inventory control, financial reporting, and general accounting
  • Knowledge of activity based costing/management and factory management systems/tools
  • Basic understanding of information systems function
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Ability to manage a multi-faceted department
  • Ability to work well with all employees
  • Must be a team player, have strong project leadership skills as well as be self-directed
