Position Summary:

As the Maintenance Buyer, you will play a vital role in purchasing for the Maintenance and Engineering areas, with a specific focus on Services and Indirect Materials. Your responsibilities will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement throughout these areas.
In this position, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate closely with the Technical Spare Inventory Coordinator, Technical Stores Attendant, and Maintenance Planner. Together, you will ensure that materials are procured within budget and in a timely manner, thereby ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of maintenance and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• MRO, Services and Indirect materials (S&IM).
• Maintain purchasing files for Purchase Orders, Confirmations and Receipts/Packing Slip.
• Coordinates / Leads all vendor managed programs.
• Work with Maintenance Pleanner / Scheduler, Stock Room Coordinator, Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Provide purchasing and administrative support as needed.
• Manage blocked/parked invoices to ensure timely payment to vendors.
• Handle purchasing discrepancies with Suppliers and Requisitioners.
• Manage GR/IR Report and coordinate corrections for discrepancies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Safety and Environmental:
  • Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets.
  • Follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations,and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
  • Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.)
• Quality:
  • Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets.
  • Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices, report food safety and quality issues immediately.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs.
  • Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Associate degree in Business Administration preferred or related field or will consider 1 years related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1 years experience with purchasing, budgeting, and financial responsibilities in a maintenance/ engineering department.
• Analytical thinking
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, is required; SAP experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including extended hours during peak times
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Experience communicate with vendors and corporate contacts
• Service-oriented attitude
• Detail-oriented
