POSITION SUMMARY :
Manual Assembly Operators will manually unpack and re-pack materials using basic equipment, i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, ink-jet coders, casers, conveying systems, taping systems, etc.
The Operators will re-assemble bulk product and assorted goods manually.
POSITION PAY :
$16.33 / HRShift Differentials $.25 for 2nd and $.30 for third shift
PTO- get 40 hours per year
12-13 Holidays off per year off
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Daily Activities* Transfer materials according to the staging report
- Read production schedule and stage orders to the PSA for consumption into production. Review (read) staging report to determine the amount of materials that need to assemble finished goods.
- Stage and consume materials into manual production operation.
- Manually pack goods into finished product
- Manage and dispose of department recyclables and garbage.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management or SRC's.
Continuous Improvement
All employees will support and participate in Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) and in the future Lean Initiative activities as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.
- Employee shall follow Fremont Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
- All employees will support and participate in Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total PerformanceAll employees will maintain environmentally conscious production efforts.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL : Job requires minimal computer or other technical knowledge to be successful. Performs transactions and / or records information in a computer.
High School Diploma or GED required as well as other training.
EXPERIENCE :
Previous experience in a food manufacturing or manufacturing setting preferred.
SKILLS :
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. Effective reading, writing, communication, and computer skills.
Ability to obtain necessary certifications / licenses.
