Position: Youth Mentor, PT
Job Type/Hours: PT, 20-25 Hrs. Shifts Available: Sat/Sun: 7a-3p, Sun/Mon: 3p-11p, Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday 11p-7a.
Location: Henry House 154 E. Huntingdon Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125
Summary of Position:
Youth Mentors working with a group of no more than 10 young boys between the approximate ages of 13-17. Youth Mentor will be responsible for ensuring the safety of clients in a residential setting, overseeing daily activities, monitoring behaviors of youth and maintaining awareness of all clients physical and emotional needs, transporting youth, engaging in activities, deescalating when needed, and preparing daily reports for shift worked.
Minimum Qualification:
- Possess a High School diploma or GED
- 2 years working with high-risk youth
- Must have knowledge of the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice System
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 5 years
- Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- PA Child Abuse Clearance required
- FBI Clearance required
- PA Criminal Clearance required
- Health Assessment required
- TB Test required
