Job Title: Tanium Engineer
Location: Remote
Role Specific Responsibilities Include:
An experienced Tanium administrator with a minimum of 3 years experience managing endpoint solutions for servers and/or workstations. The candidate should be able to manage users and permissions, perform core functionality tasks, as well as operations and management tasks of the platform. Additionally, the candidate should be able to perform care and feeding of the platform and basic troubleshooting.
TANIUM CERTIFIED ADMINISTRATOR EXAM is a plus.
BASIC ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS 35%
TANIUM CONTENT MANAGEMENT 25%
TANIUM TROUBLESHOOTING 25%
PLATFORM MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS 15%
The candidate should have hands-on experience from a Tanium platform deployment project. We expect the candidate to participate in deployment project in Tenneco for 3-4 months, than take over Platform Administrator role for the rest of the year and beyond

- Adjust administrative settings of the platform
- Manage user, user group, computer group and action group
- Implement Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and permissions to content and content sets
- Apply procedural concepts to configure Tanium to sync to LDAP
- Articulate fundamentals of the Tanium Platform
- Perform initial configuration of platform, shared service and modules
TANIUM CONTENT MANAGEMENT 25%
- Manage platform, modules, shared services, content solutions and client installations, upgrades and migrations
- Deploy clients to target endpoints
TANIUM TROUBLESHOOTING 25%
- Collect necessary health information to facilitate infrastructure triage by the Technical Account Manager (TAM)
- Troubleshoot and gather support logs
- Troubleshoot platform connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot user access functionality
PLATFORM MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS 15%
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Perform optimization tasks to ensure efficient operation of the platform
