About the Opportunity:
NetDocuments, Clearlake, and Cove Hill Partners are searching for a dynamic, strategic, and financially-minded individual for the Finance Associate role, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance and with significant exposure to the Chief Financial Officer of NetDocuments. This is a highly visible, high impact role in a quickly growing and dynamic business, which can lead to further career opportunities at NetDocuments or at other Clearlake or Cove Hill portfolio companies.
The Finance Associate will be a critical member of NetDocuments’ Finance team, driving the Finance organization day to day and providing insight and analysis to inform decision making and support the growth in our business. In this role, the Finance Associate will drive consolidated financial planning, business modeling, and KPI metric continuity. This individual will be responsible for short and long-term growth forecasts that guide decision making. He/she will work to ensure the highest standards of quality and transparency in our processes and reporting, and proactively implement best practices to minimize risk. The applicant should be a self-starter, have strong problem solving and analytical skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive business partners.
What your contributions will be:
- Act as the trusted business advisor to the functional budget owners to understand revenue and expense forecasts and inputs during the monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and continuous forecasting processes
- Maintain all company forecasts, including short-term and long-term financial and KPI projections
- Work in partnership with the accounting team to consolidate financial results and metrics in support of the close processes, including data analysis and interpretation to understand and explain key drivers of results and preparation of monthly reports and quarterly Board of Directors reports
- Analyze financial results, distill key trends, assess current and future risks, and present key insights to senior leadership
- Create and maintain variety of corporate metrics, dashboards, and reports to drive insight and action and support internal and external stakeholders
- Extract incremental value out of existing systems and help implement new systems to support forecasting and data analysis requirements
Example Projects
- Partner with sales, marketing, product management and customer success organizations to develop new reporting to support go-to-market strategies
- Manage projects with stakeholders to make data-driven decisions on topics including:
- Forecasting
- Growth/churn strategy
- Pricing/packaging strategy
- Gross margin improvements
- General process improvement
- Various sales & marketing experiments

What you need for success:
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. MBA preferred but not required.
- 5 years of relevant experience including investment banking, private equity, and corporate FP&A
- Experience at software company, especially in a complex, global, public company environment is preferable but not required
- Strong analytical skills, including superior financial modeling, general financial reporting and management accounting skills to inform decision making
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Technology – Experience working with systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive Insights and/or other BI tools preferred but not required
