Requirements are:
US Person, this position will be working on our clients W2 (no sponsorships current or future)
Onsite: Monday thru Thursday. Work from home/remotely on Fridays
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is required
- 7 years of General Accounting or other relevant experience
- Experience working in an inventory-based business required; CPG experience preferred
- Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with MS Office (Specifically Excel) and experience with accounting software
- Ability to communicate with different levels of the organization
Job Scope:
- Execute month-end closing responsibilities for all assigned entities and/or accounts on a timely basis
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Perform detailed analytics to identify anomalies and discrepancies, and evaluate trends
- Reconcile accounts and gather/create supporting documentation to validate account balances
- Coordinate documentation support and correspondence for external audits
- Create SOPs to document new and existing processes, recommending and implementing change as needed
- Perform special projects and reporting as required
