Netflix seeks an experienced attorney to handle a wide array of responsibilities related to the development and production of Netflix's feature film slate. The successful candidate will work with the company's film team to negotiate and draft agreements necessary to develop, produce and/or acquire the company's live action feature films. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to make an impact at Netflix by contributing to the creation of our high-profile feature films, and by being a mentor to stunning colleagues on the team.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have at least 10-15 years of broad-based development, production and acquisition experience, including with respect to development, production, talent, and acquisition agreements related to motion pictures. An understanding of related or ancillary documents and issues (e.g., rights and above-the-line agreements and matters, production services agreements, chain of title review, etc.) required. Prior in-house experience is required (major film studio experience strongly preferred).

- Prior experience in a mentoring role is highly desirable, as is a commitment to elevating the work of the entire legal affairs team.
- J.D. and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $280,000-960,000.
