Job Description
Title :Senior Software Engineer - React, Java, AWS, & K8s
Location : ( Candidate can be remote during contract period 6 months --- Candidate must be willing to relocate upon conversion within a 2-hour commutable radius of a designated office) -- Remote; Must relocate within 2 hrs of San Diego upon conversion
Office Location: San Diego, CA (must be okay with travel onsite once per quarter)
Duration : 6 months contract to hire

- 1st Round: 90-minute Zoom with HM (hands-on interview, the candidate will have their camera on and share their full screen. They should also come prepared for the interview by installing a few programs that are listed below)
- 2nd Round: 60-minute Zoom with panel (candidate should be prepared to share their screen for a limited time and solve code puzzles)

Job Overview:
The candidate will be in charge of taking a large, monolithic application and refactoring it into a cloud application. They will work with the dev team and Product manager in their day to day to accomplish this goal. They'll build out parts of the app, pare it down, and repeat. The candidate will implement features and be responsible for maintenance while taking feedback from users in the field. That will include keeping an eye out for weak spots/security vulnerabilities in the codebase while increasing the speed, frequency, and accuracy of releases.
Must Haves (Most to Least):
- React
- Angular or React or ES6 JavaScript - as replacement
- Java (Spring Boot)
- AWS (EKS, MQ, Security Groups/VCP, & Systems Manager)
- Docker/Kubernetes/
Containerization - Terraform (or equivalents such CloudFormation, Ansible, and/or Puppet)
- Senior level candidate that is confident in their own abilities
- Driven to implement and refactor the codebase
- Ability to mentor more junior devs via video conf., phone calls, email, etc.
- Excellent communication skills (demo the product at weekly architecture meetings to Directors and VPs)
