Network Cabling Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cable systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and the ability to work in various environments.

Duties:
- Install and configure cable systems, including fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet cables
- Perform cable terminations and splicing
- Test and troubleshoot cable systems to ensure proper functionality
- Repair or replace damaged cables or connectors
- Install and mount equipment such as racks, cabinets, and patch panels
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with high voltage or electrical equipment
- Utilize bucket trucks or climb poles to access cables for installation or repair
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Cable Technician or in a related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of cabling systems, including WAN, telephone, and data cabling
- Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment for cable installation and repair
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Bucket truck operation
