Position Overview:
The team is seeking a mid-level (Senior Associate / Vice President) team member dedicated to the Access Fund to act as a fund specialist, managing and coordinating all prospect / client-related matters and other investment and non-investment needs including deep fund / portfolio knowledge and expertise. Over time, this individual’s responsibilities may also expand to include other NB Private Markets’ strategies to intermediary client channels on a global basis, including evergreen vehicles, registered funds, and custom structures. The individual will be a member of the Investment Strategy & Solutions group working collaboratively with the fundraising / marketing team within NB Private Markets and have a wide scope of responsibilities as outlined below.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fund / Portfolio / Market Expertise
- Develop and maintain a high level of portfolio level expertise
- Develop and maintain a high level of Fund / structure expertise
- Develop and maintain a high level of market expertise
- Manage fundraising efforts in coordination with marketing, investment and sales teams
- Collaborate on all marketing materials, including requests for proposals (“RfPs”), prospect follow-ups, as well as client / prospect inquiries
- Serve as a resource for the broader Neuberger Berman sales teams for Access Fund related matters
- Liaise with various stakeholders including investment, sales, legal, finance and operations teams
- Coordinate or potentially participate in meetings to assist the investment team and ensure follow-up materials are provided
- Provide sales with tools that they need, such as content, customized materials and education materials
- Content Development
- Manage and collaborate with marketing team to develop all content for monthly fund updates, websites, LinkedIn Posts, and other communications related to raising brand awareness of the Fund
- Assist in media approach and content development
- High level of partnership with alts specialist sales team to identify content development
- Provide client solutions and positive client experience
- Ensure “touchpoints” (white papers, market updates) are being presented to our clients ensuring the NB value-add
- Identifying areas where we can be a resource to financial advisors and clients
- Work globally across offices and with team members to coordinate and sync marketing collateral, strategies, fundraising activities
This position is for an immediate start, in the NYC office.
Experience & Skills Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience, strong preference for prior investment experience, within an asset management firm, investment bank, private equity firm, placement agent, and/or consulting firm
- Experience and understanding of the intermediary channel, including the private wealth marketplace, products, and competitors also preferable
- Understanding of, and passion for, all aspects of telling the Fund’s “story” including investment, marketing, content development, digital strategy, branding
- Exceptional project management skills, ability to multi-task, team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects and manage them effectively
- Remarkable attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong judgment, maturity and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, and ability to articulate and present ideas effectively in written form
- Initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving and to be resourceful
- Exhibits strong dedication to the job and takes ownership of deliverables
- Ability to move quickly up the learning curve

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
