Job Title: Order Entry Clerk (Inside Sales)
Job Summary: As the Inside Sales Order Entry Clerk, you will accurately process customer transactions such as orders or quotes, and you will work with other sales team members to grow existing customers and create new customers while increasing customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive customer orders daily via email and fax
- Compare customer information on each order to company database(s) to ensure that all contact information stays accurate and up-to-date
- Verify that order information is correct on each order received
- Contact customers directly for any order issues (e.g., merchandise pricing differences, shipping delays, questions regarding contact information, etc.)
- Enter orders into fulfillment system for processing, including packaging and shipping preparation (e.g., Kofax order entry, Neuco System order and quote entry, Sears logic broker portal and order entry, Grainger EDI order and quote entry, etc.)
- Verify that order is correct prior to shipment
- Handle group hold orders
- Manage the Neuco mail folder
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the sales team
- Maintain proficiency in using your company-issued IT equipment and any other common office equipment and software
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Great organizational skills
- Fast and accurate keyboarding skills (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multi-task
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable in fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and tact when dealing with all customers
- Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
- Able to manage time effectively and work independently with some direction
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, and database applications
- Willingness to participate in on-the-job training
