- Associate degree required, preferably in business or engineering related field
- 2 years in operations management in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with maintaining compliance to OSHA regulations
- Excellent people-management, emotional intelligence, and leadership abilities
- Strong organizational, time-management, computer, and communication skills
- Knowledge of business functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, etc.)
- Experience performing data analysis and tracking key performance metrics
- Systems thinker with an ability to streamline processes for increased productivity
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to drive business results

The Role:
The Production Supervisor will work directly with the General Manager of client until growth demands an operations manager. The role will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations of client’s manufacturing facility located in Nicholasville, KY.
This person will be a member of the company’s Leadership Team working to implement key strategies set forth for the business. In addition, the Production Supervisor will help lead the company-wide initiatives of standardization and growth to ensure the consistency, efficiency, quality, regulatory, and legal compliance of all activities conducted by the shop teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced on time and meet specifications.
- Lead, motivate, and support teams across multiple shifts within a time-sensitive and
demanding environment.
- Schedule and manage direct reports, resolving any production-related issues.
- Recruit, train, and develop machinists and team leaders, providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
- Lead teams in the establishment and standardization of operational processes while regularly evaluating practices for improvement opportunities.
- Explore opportunities to increase the quality of products and customer service.
- Set goals at the shop level which tie back to overarching business objectives.
- Analyze and interpret data and metrics, establishing corrective measures as needed.
- Monitor operational systems and implement processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and KPI inhibitors.

First Pass Yield (RFT)
Spindle Utilization
Unplanned Downtime (UPDT)
Continuous Improvement (Savings/Efficiencies)
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to
make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with key leaders to make decisions that support overarching business objectives.
- Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper
operations of the organization.
- Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and establish a trusting,
inclusive, and productive working environment.
Safety &Compliance:
- Establish a mindset of Safe Excellence by training staff and empowering the team to act in addressing safety concerns, as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, quality certifications, and regulatory controls
- (OSHA/ITAR/AS9100), taking corrective action when necessary.
Budget Support:
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager/General Manager and support cost-saving efforts.
- Contribute to budget control through consumables and routine purchasing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of CNC machining, ITAR, and/or AS9100
- Budget and project management experience
- Six Sigma (Green Belt) or experience implementing LEAN/TPM manufacturing
- Experience working with startups or scaleup of small businesses

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
