What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Clerk position at Neutral Posture?

Assists Buyers with all aspects of the purchasing department and functions. Helps track/obtain department objectives that are in line with the company overall objectives.

Conducts Receiving and Audits on a daily basis. Reconciles all reports, open purchase orders, and packing slips. Notifies Buyers of any discrepancies. Forwards appropriate paperwork to accounting department for payment. Files Audit Trail Report.

Reviews daily Late Receiving Report. Contacts suppliers according to current procedures, updates any adjusted receipt dates, and communicates information to Buyers.

Verifies and receives written acknowledgements (fax, email, etc.) for all purchase orders from suppliers in a timely manner, according to current procedures. Files acknowledgements with open PO’s. Reviews and updates as part of late report audit process.

Assists in MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) counts and ordering. Notifies Buyers of counts for necessary order processing.

Assists in maintaining the supplier and purchasing files/records.

Assists Buyers as requested. Assists in expediting requests, data entry, general filing for purchasing department. Follows-up with Suppliers as directed by Buyers.

Serves as backup to front desk when necessary. This includes greeting all walk-in visitors, customers and vendors.

Assists in other duties or special projects as designated by supervisor or officer of the company.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES

· Good organizational and communication skills.

· Proficient in windows-based operating/accounting systems, spreadsheet and word processing programs.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Previous administrative or clerical experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
