What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRACTICE MANAGER - Las Vegas, NV position at Nevada Health Centers I?

Nevada Health Centers is looking to add an experienced Practice Manager to our team. This position is located at our Eastern Clinic in Las Vegas, NV.


The Practice Manager (PM) leads the implementation and administration of overall operational initiatives under the direction of their senior leader. Creates value and strategic advantage throughout the assigned region, or identified practice location/s, to ensure that patient volume, practice site efficiencies, compliance, and employee engagement and patient satisfaction objectives are met. The PM is responsible for managing all the day-to-day leadership and operational aspects within his/her assigned practice/operational unit and works in collaboration with other PMs and the senior leader to achieve the regional and organizational revenue and expense objectives as compared to budget. The PM works closely with the provider leader to support the providers within the work team so they are engaged and productive. The PM ensures compliance and adherence to all aspects of corporate ethics and corporate compliance, including all regulatory and licensing requirements within the assigned practice/s.

Desired Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Health or Business Administration or related field with a minimum of three years of experience in clinical practice. A combination of education and additional work experience may be combined to meet the degree requirement. The degree requirement can be substituted with 3 additional years of relevant experience.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of clinical policies and procedures, standards and regulations, ability to analyze problems and make decisions in line with state and federal regulations and Centers for Disease control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines
  • Knowledge of the essential administrative functions of a medical clinic to include administrative, clinical and financial aspects and CPT and ICD-9 coding
  • Skill in basic computer and keyboarding skill and have the ability to enter data within company’s computer system
  • Demonstrated ability in leadership and ability to exercise sound independent judgment in appraising situations and making decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment under stressful situations

Fully vaccinated means at least 14 days past the last vaccination in an FDA-approved-vaccine series. For example, 14 days past the single-dose Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine, or 14 days past the second dose of the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccine.

To prove vaccination, you must provide either 1) the CDC-issued card you received at the time of vaccination, or 2) a copy of your COVID-19 immunization record from a state-sponsored immunization record repository.
