What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Sterile Technician position at Nevada Regional Medical Center?
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for coordination of Central Sterile activities. Utilizes current CSR methodologies appropriate to the age of patients served, follows Standards of Care, Standards of Practice, and State Practice guidelines, utilizes principles of Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement, maintains a safe environment of care, contributes to a collaborative practice with nursing and other disciplines, and behaves and practices in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of NRMC.
Skills Abilities:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Motor coordination and manual dexterity required.
- Adaptable to changing patient and facility needs for assignments and work schedules.
Working Conditions:
- Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
- Exposure to distressed patients, families, or visitors.
Physical Demands:
- Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
