Overview

Position: Director Infrastructure Services

 

Location: Tustin or Hybrid (HQ: Tustin, CA)

 

Pay: 165K-180K DOE

 

The Director Infrastructure Services will lead the team that provides implementation, 24/7 operational support and continuous improvement of Infrastructure systems including but not limited to applications, network, servers, VDI, data center, SaaS and IaaS. The successful candidate will be technically versed, passionate about customer service and act as the main point of contact for Infrastructure systems.  This position reports to the Senior Director Architecture Services and is a member of the Technology Services management team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration, maintenance, monitoring and upgrade of Infrastructure systems.
  • Lead the Infrastructure Services team, ensuring the highest levels of system availability, capacity and security.
  • Analyze, implement, administer and support applications, network, servers, databases, VDI, data center, and IaaS.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party partners to optimize and Infrastructure systems to support business needs
  • Responsible for Infrastructure systems related product licensing/subscriptions, ensuring appropriate coverage with a focus on cost containment
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL v4 Service Value System
  • Mentor and build capabilities of the team:
    • Meet with team members on a regular basis to build relationships, seek feedback and develop team competencies
    • Align work with priorities and goals to the organization, department, and industry regulations
    • Provide a clear articulation of direction and expectations of delivery (Quality, Scope, Time)
    • Hold team members accountable and provide feedback on performance
    • Develop team members so they can perform and progress their career
    • Coordinate roles and tasks of team members to achieve goals
    • Effectively recruit candidates to enhance department capabilities
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, policies, SLAs, communications, and knowledge base.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to technology peers and business partners
  • Good understanding of process orientation, understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Stay up to date and informed on developing regulatory concerns and changing IT and information security trends
  • Ability to be part of a rotating on-call 24x7x365 schedule

Qualifications

  • Windows Server
  • Demonstrated experience with Office 365 and Azure
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure management in a complex environment with working knowledge of architecture, systems administration, network administration and IaaS administration
  • Proven management of staff, projects and vendors
  • Ability to drive initiatives and lead meetings in subject matter expertise areas
  • Ability to stay current on technology trends and quickly learn new technologies
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize appropriately, cope well with change and maintain composure under high pressure situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with staff and management of any level
  • Knowledge of common security/privacy frameworks; CIS, NYCRR 500, CSF, PCI, NIST, CCPA/CPRA, etc.

Education, Experience and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10 years of experience with IT Infrastructure systems
  • 8 years of experience with server operation systems; Windows Server, Linux
  • 8 years of experience with virtualization systems; VMware, Hyper-V, KVM
  • 8 years of experience with server and storage systems; Dell, HP, Nutanix
  • 8 years of experience with network, firewall and ADC: Arista, Cisco, Citrix, Palo Alto
  • 8 years with SNMP and agent-based monitoring tools
  • 5 years of experience with disaster recovery and IT general controls
  • 3 years with Office365
  • 2 years of experience IaaS: AWS and Azure
  • 5 years in a mid-management role with more than 10 direct reports
  • 5 years in a mid-sized company with over 3,000 users
  • Infrastructure related certification(s); Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, etc.
  • Process related certification(s) preferred; ITIL, Six Sigma, PMI
  • Experience in Mortgage or Finance industry preferred
