NBHS will invest in differentiated programs that will grow all students and provide immediate feedback to both students and teachers. Additionally, the school will implement multiple online, individualized, academic programs-all geared at providing targeted instruction for each studentPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Manage the APEX Computer system ensuring consistent implementation protocols for the creation and monitoring classrooms, student and teacher accounts. 2.Provide support to students within the APEX Computer lab to facilitate their completion of APEX courses, including written work and monitoring of computer-based assessments.

3.Collaborate and Support teachers to implement Learning programs within their classrooms, utilize common assessment and other open material, and assist with students needing additional support outside of the classroom. 4.Provide consistent reporting to guidance counselors, and other school staff and stakeholders, regarding the progress of students completing APEX courses. 5.Oversee the execution of our Blended Learning/Intervention blocks (monitoring if students and teachers are using program consistently and correctly)6.Oversee the computer lab during our Computer Lab Enrichment/Intervention class7.Ensure that school technology is being handled properly and inventoriedQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree required.Massachusetts teacher certification is preferred.Experience in assisting learners in a web based education environment required.Knowledge of the Curriculum Frameworks in content area required.Teaching experience in remedial situations preferred.Teaching experience with English Language Learners and/or students with special needs preferred.Online learning experience preferredTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a NON Union positionLOCATION: New Bedford High SchoolSALARY: Negotiable HOURS: TBDThe New Bedford Public Schools do not discriminate on account of age, race, color, sex, gender identity, gender expression, ancestry, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, genetics, or disability that does not prohibit performance of essential job functions in employment for potential employees.
