Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to individuals in various settings such as personal care homes, retirement homes, group homes, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with their daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their well-being.

Duties:
- Provide direct support to individuals in need of personal care assistance.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviors.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support individuals with mobility issues and transfers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Document client progress and any significant observations accurately.

Skills:
- Experience working in personal care homes, retirement homes, assisted living facilities, or similar settings.
- Proficiency in providing direct care and support to individuals with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to assist with meal preparation and adhere to dietary guidelines.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and respecting clients' privacy.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
