New Dream Family Center seeking a dedicated and experienced Spanish Bi-Lingual Assistant Director to join our team and collaborate with the Center Director in the day-to-day operations of the early learning program. The Assistant Director will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, enrollment, curriculum implementation, staff management, and parent communication.
Founded in 2009, the New Dream provides a community-based program for families who want the best quality childcare available and a whole-child integrated curriculum that is grounded in the context of our community.

New Dream Family Center’s philosophy is to provide inclusive Reggio-inspired environments with a focus on the Spanish language and culture, gardening, STEM, and sustainable practices. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director to ensure compliance with licensing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee enrollment processes, including admissions, tours, and orientation for new families.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
- Assist in conducting staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development workshops.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents that may arise, following established protocols.
- Assist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the center.
- Assist in scheduling events, and fundraisers and representing the center when needed.
- Promote a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for employees, children and their families in our community.
Requirements and Skills:
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Certified Center or similar setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and high-quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills, leadership skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Excel and a fast learner of relatable databases to the business. (ProCare, Waitlist Pro, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to work full time, M-F with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events, meetings, or program promoting.
Must be enrolled and have an active registry number in the Central Background Registry prior to employment.
