Merchandise Intern - Team Store
Position Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Merchandise Intern to join our team store department. As a Merchandise Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our retail operations and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our fans and customers.
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in merchandising, inventory management, customer service, and teamwork within a fast-paced sports environment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Assist in Inventory Management : Help with receiving, organizing, and maintaining merchandise inventory. This includes unpacking shipments, tagging products, and conducting regular inventory counts.
2. Customer Service : Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, providing product information, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
3. Visual Merchandising : Support the team store manager in creating visually appealing merchandise displays that showcase products effectively and attract customers.
4. Assist with Online Orders : Aid in processing online orders, including picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Store Maintenance : Help keep the team store clean, organized, and well-maintained. This includes restocking shelves, folding clothing, and ensuring merchandise is properly displayed.
6. Team Collaboration : Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives. Assist colleagues during peak times and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to business, marketing, retail management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for providing excellent service.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems (training will be provided).
