Power Service Analyst

What you will do:

• Written on-site electrical system assessments documenting existing system configuration, equipment ratings, conductor lengths, conductor ampacities, overcurrent protective device information, and preventive maintenance requirements.

• Creating and analyzing single-line diagrams for each facilities electrical systems, reporting problems with equipment sizing, device coordination, and short circuit protection.

• Installation arc flash labeling and signs, coordination personal protective equipment acquisition, and training operators to use arc flash safety procedures and equipment.

• Conducting visual and thermal evaluation of electrical equipment.

• Reporting electrical hazards or code violations with recommendations for correction.

• Other duties as assigned by the Repair Shop Manager.

We are looking for:

• A minimum of two years of electrical engineering education, engineering calculation experience, and related field experience is required.

• In lieu of education, five years of practical electrical experience with arc flash analysis in mining or industry is acceptable.

• Must have the ability to understand installed electrical distribution systems, electrical schematic diagrams, and engineering documents.

• Must have the ability to create electrical schematic diagrams.

• Must possess knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and OSHA requirements in relation to arc flash and electrical distribution.

• Self-directed and motivated to solve problems in the field with little or no supervision.

• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Overnight travel and on-site field work in required.

• Knowledge of East Power or something equivalent is a plus.

• Must have solid written and verbal communication skills.
