What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at NEW ERA CAP LLC?
The role of the Production Supervisor is to be responsible for the operation of a department, including all issues involving production flow, maintenance, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Direct all 2nd shift functions assigned to the embroidery department, including all issues involving production flow, maintenance, and safety.
- Expedite the movement of rush orders through the department.
- Set daily job responsibilities, the organization of orders, and evaluation of all processes in the embroidery operations.
- Ensure quality control is in compliance with New Era Cap quality and assurance standards.
- Work directly with the Cap Machine Manager concerning any problems and issues regarding the embroidery process.
- Keep all sensitive matters confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bilingual – Spanish required.
- Availability to work 2nd shift: 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems.
- Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
- The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges
- High energy, well-rounded leader with functional experience managing within a manufacturing operation that used integrated planning systems such as SAP
- Ability to identify gaps and recommend improvements on current business processes
- Demonstrate leadership through a clear and authentic communication style
- Ability to develop a team to ensure growth and development of technical and leadership skills
- Effective teacher, mentor, coach, promoter, and developer of individuals

- Able to work overtime, including Saturdays and vacation/holiday shutdowns if needed
- Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Education and Experience
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- High School Diploma
