POSITION SUMMARY : The Materials Planning Manager oversees the planning department, coordinating all planning for production locations and ensuring timely processing of materials.
They are responsible for inventory accuracy, MRP, and compliance with MRB processes. This role drives inventory reduction, maintains job accuracy, and assists in reducing obsolete inventory.
They coordinate kitting activities, work with capacity planning, and ensure materials planning in key areas. The manager also collaborates with manufacturing engineering, prepares KPIs, and monitors parts status.
Additionally, they assist in policy development, budget achievement, and data accuracy, driving continuous improvement in the supply base and supporting production in day-to-day tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Manage the Planning Department.
- Coordinate planning activities for all production locations.
- Coordination for processing materials to POU location by requirement date.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and achieving inventory goals.
- Responsible for MRP; work MRP messages and monitor daily OAS (order action summary)
- Ensure all aspects of the MRB processes are followed.
- Monitor measure and meet all materials measurements.
- Drive the reduction of inventory adjustments.
- Ensure accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders to released jobs.
- Responsible for discrete job accuracy; maintaining accuracy of 500 series requirements and accuracy of reject requirements.
- Assist in reducing obsolete inventory.
- Responsible for work orders being released to manufacturing on a timely basis; ensure release planned orders to release dates.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
- 5 10 years in Production planning, OEM environment, fast-paced inventory control setting.
- Deep understanding of MRP, Oracle, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- APICS CPIM certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
