This position is responsible for everything from administrative tasks to member, employee, physician, and lab support tasks. For adults with recovery and re-entry issues, recovery and success in life depends on good mental and physical health, as well as having satisfying relationships, safe housing, purpose in life, a sense of belonging, and hope for the future. This includes assisting the members on the medical case management side with acquiring and utilizing the skills necessary to become self-sufficient to manage and enjoy their lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate member needs to a variety of clinical care team members, and follow-up accordingly.
  • Provide supportive services including, but not limited to, assistance in maintaining, monitoring, and modifying covered medical services.
  • Maintain the member’s comprehensive clinical record through detailed documentation.
  • Adjust to fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
  • Obtain and record member medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, member check-in and check-out, member medical record maintenance, and assisting with member medical referrals.
  • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to members and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Collaborate professionally with courtesy and tact when interacting with the leadership team, employees, and members.
  • Assist with member primary care and/or Tele-Med or Tele-Psych appointments and complete all required documentation.
  • Assist with monitored urinalysis/drug testing of members, as needed and per company protocols.
  • Assist with other testing requirements for both members and employees as it relates to COVID.
  • Effectively meets any/all outlined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring the highest quality and level of member care and engagement is provided.
  • Receives and actively engages in clinical supervision and oversight each week/month based on BHPP/BHT designation requirements, including completion of all continuing education requirements.
  • In addition, all other duties as assigned.

Experience

Required
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • Effectively demonstrates versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Effectively collaborates and works within a team, while also effectively demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work well individually
  • A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope required
  • Behavioral Health Paraprofessional designation required (0-2 years behavioral health work experience without higher education, such as Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in relevant course of study)
Preferred
  • 1 - 2 years: Relevant experience in behavioral health and/or medical field
  • Behavioral Health Technician designation preferred (2 years behavioral health work experience and/or higher education)

  • High School or better in General Studies or related field
  • HS Equivalency or better in General Studies or related field
