Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
Duties:
- Conduct health coaching and education to promote patient wellness and self-care
- Utilize aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Accurately document medical information in patient records
- Administer tube feedings and monitor patients' nutritional status
- Perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples for laboratory testing
- Process specimens for laboratory analysis
- Stay up-to-date on workers' compensation laws and regulations to provide appropriate care and documentation
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews
- Apply knowledge of anatomy to assess patients' conditions and identify potential health issues
- Provide occupational health services, including pre-employment screenings and workplace injury evaluations
Skills:
- Strong health coaching abilities to educate patients on self-care practices
- Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Excellent medical documentation skills to accurately record patient information
- Knowledge of tube feeding procedures and monitoring techniques
- Ability to perform phlebotomy for blood collection purposes
- Familiarity with specimen collection processing for laboratory analysis
- Understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations related to healthcare documentation
- Competency in conducting comprehensive patient assessments
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy to assess patients' conditions accurately
- Experience in providing occupational health services
