Summary: Mill seeking qualified candidate for the position of Storeroom Supervisor at the paper mill located in Ontario, CA. The overall responsibility of the position is to provide administrative and functional support to the Storeroom operation.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Routine materials replenishment

Inventory performance tracking and consumption analysis

Optimization of processes that provide service to mill operations and maintenance.

Support the attainment of maintenance and materials goods.

Identify improvement opportunities for competitively sourcing materials and service for contracts

Define and resolve supplier issues as appropriate.

Manage identification and disposal of surplus and/or obsolete materials.

Maintain accurate inventory of assets and materials

Direct and support the deployment of new materials management strategies within the mill

Execute mill, departmental and personal projects and initiatives to improve safety, reduce costs, minimize waste and improve performance.
- Lead by example and encourage employees adherence to the mill safety and environmental policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises non-exempt support staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:

Preferred BA degree or equivalent work experience

Required Storeroom or Purchasing experience
-
2 years or more in heavy manufacturing experience a plus

Preferred managerial experience
Other skills:

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn new applications.

Strong understanding of computerized maintenance management systems such as Maximo.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude

Pay Transparency: The starting annual salary for this opportunity ranges from $75-90k. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance.
