New Life North: Family Ministry Support Staff

New Life Church's mission is to make disciples in the Pikes Peak region, by calling people to worship, connect and serve.  

To serve the Church by providing coordination of the daily operations within the (department) and (general task)

• Primary responsibility: To operate as a classroom teacher or assistant for Midweek and weekend services. Tuesday evenings & Thursday mornings (New Life North) and Sunday mornings (New Life East).
• Check children in and out of classroom.
• Teach curriculum, facilitate activities and worship/worship response during class.
• Maintain order in a loving, caring, peaceful environment.
• Keep room clean and orderly throughout class time and at the end of class; vacuuming, wiping down tables, sanitizing toys, keeping cabinets orderly.
• Follow policy and procedure and standard classroom procedures.
• Assist Family Ministries department with additional projects to include but not limited to lesson/curriculum prep, cleaning toys or classrooms, restocking supplies, and clearing storage areas.
• Support and participate in Family Ministries events such as Family Nights, Parenting Conference, Kids Camp, Desperation conference.
• Attend all required team meetings.
• Be on time for your designated shift.
• Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries of New Life Church.
• Cooperate with the Pastor and Director by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

Education:  High School diploma or higher

Experience:  2 years experience

            Family Ministry Classroom Teachers and Support Staff

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and or move up to 25 pounds.
• Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Close visual acuity to is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
