About New Mexico Military Institute:NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level and a transfer junior college, operating within a conductive military environment.
Position New Mexico Military Institute announces the vacancy of the full-time, permanent position of Assistant JC Football Coach, Health and Physical Education Instructor under the general supervision of the Athletic Director and Head JC Football Coach. This is a full-time, exempt, 12-month position. The salary is based on experience and level of education. The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
· Responsible for coaching a position group (to be determined by the Head Coach).
· Assist in coaching special teams.
· Responsible for successfully recruiting an assigned area.
· Assist with all aspects of equipment and equipment distribution.
· Assist with recruiting.
· Assist with laundry.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
· Expected to be punctual to all meetings, practices, and events.
· Strong knowledge of position skills and specifics.
· Strong knowledge of defensive or offensive schemes.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong oral communication skills.
· Expected to maintain a high level of professionalism in all areas.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree.
· Minimum two years of college coaching experience.
Preferred:
· Master’s degree
· Collegiate playing experience.
