Gourmet Foods Specialist

• Properly package, weigh and label foods.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses ordered at the counter or for grab & go case.
• Properly rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers and displays.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cheeses and related artisanal products, according to specific product requirements.
• Check deliveries for damage, quality, and accuracy.
• Enjoys sharing knowledge about department offerings.
• Service customers by filling customers’ requests promptly and courteously.
• Set up and maintain attractive, fully stocked display cases.
• Assist customers with questions and product selection by suggestive selling.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; strong customer service orientation; able to effectively work as part of a team.
• Ability to build professional relationships with customers.
• Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery, or retail preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
