If you are selected for this role, you will be responsible for client management and providing strategic direction on delivering client instock and OTIF goals while delivering revenue goals for the Company. The Merch Ops Manager will lead their respective areas of responsibility and maintain communication with the retailer’s replenishment teams to deliver against company goals, strategies, and targets. 


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Demonstrate and uphold all Core Values
  • Proactively monitor Walmart forecasts and inventory order flow to mitigate potential inventory issues and short shipments.
  • Develop and execute weekly replenishment dashboards
  • Provide Script/order writing/submission
  • Review internal pipeline and Walmart store inventory levels to ensure we consistently meet or exceed Walmart in stock expectations.
  • Monitor total inventory pipeline to ensure adequate seasonal/event inventory levels.
  • Lead troubleshooting on any issues with client businesses within replenishment and markdowns
  • Analyze in-season performance and provide recommended actions to drive sales via Walmart system settings (demand forecast adjustments)
  • Track, maintain, archive, and communicate internal reporting on key metrics, including on time/in full (OTIF), in stocks, inventory and forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze data and make recommendations to resolve in stock concerns, excess inventory, and aged inventory.
  • Review end to end supply chain details and make adjustment recommendations to Walmart or client as needed to improve OTIF compliance.
  • Coordinate and handle various 3rd party involvement (3PL's carriers, warehousing, etc.)
  • Communicate with Walmart replenishment teams regarding daily operations to drive sales, including, but not limited to, the following: item/store level forecast recommendations, Scripted Orders, seasonal planning, launch planning, inventory strategies.
  • Work in tandem with sales counterparts to proactively address inventory/supply opportunities that lead to established goals and metrics.
  • Educate clients to build their comprehensive understanding of Walmart's Supply Chain terms, systems, procedures, policies, and practices.
  • Create, implement, and align forecasts for both Walmart and client internal supply chain.
  • Communicate effectively with internal client team
  • Ensure Client retention through competency & customer service
  • Build total New nexus Group capability & output through collaborative involvement
  • Deliver timely and accurate New Nexus Group communication & planning documents for client(s) (Annual budget process, tracker, quarterly reviews, etc)
  • Understand and communicate marketplace trends and insights that have a potential impact on the business unit


Key Skills and Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
      • 3 years relevant professional experience required
      • Ability to effectively learn and leverage retailer data analytics systems such as Luminate, Retail Link,  and syndicated data (MADRID, IRI & Nielsen)
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Executive presence demonstrated by the following:

        • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
        • Strong ability to learn strategic and forward thinking
      • Experienced in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to use tools effectively
