Fitness Instructor - Kickboxing

Who We Are:

The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a leader in New Orleans early childhood education, a fun-filled summer day camp and so much more. It is a place for adults to take an exercise class, an art class or dance class. A place for children and teens to experience learning through enrichment classes, sports leagues, family activities, and summer camps. The JCC is built on Jewish values, but is welcome to everyone.

The mission of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center is to promote and ensure the well-being of our Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a Center where all can enjoy, learn, experience and share in quality activities in a Jewish environment.

We're about empowering people, inspiring them to stay committed to their fitness and weight loss goals through community, support and a little sweat (ok a lot!) The Kickboxing Instructor's role is to promote fun and at the same time create effective and challenging exercise routines. 

What You'll Do:

• Lead engaging and high-energy cardio kickboxing program interacting with members in a positive and energetic manner.
• Creating workout plans that help increase strength, flexibility & cardiovascular capabilities.
• Provide effective coaching and guidance during classes.
• Can motivate participants through challenging workouts and pushing them to their limits.
• Maintain member relationships and cultivate referrals.

What You'll Bring:

• Group fitness certification by ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM.
• Kickboxing certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

• Experience working with participants with different ages, skill levels, and varying physical and emotional abilities.
